i never liked to talk,
i preferred to keep it in.
but when i learnt it’s safe,
my life started to begin
–
one where i can trust,
one that didn’t hold fear.
a world where i can talk,
my story, loud and clear.
–
i like to think i helped,
but when i self reflect.
i’m grateful i got help,
i learnt to reconnect.
–
reconnect with others,
not just on my own.
open up and be willing,
beautiful friendships were formed.
–
i have someone to thank,
for their patience, work and time.
no longer trapped within,
from someone else’s crime.
–
thankyou for your help,
and all the work you do.
your impact lasts a lifetime,
i can thank YOU for how much i grew.

MAO
don’t give trauma the power to control you, you deserve to live how you want. take control of your trauma.
